Preschool and Daycare

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a loving and creative environment for children to learn and grow to their greatest potential. Every child’s uniqueness is supported through activities that are individually tailored to his or her interests and abilities. Kindergarten-readiness begins.

our philosophy

Our teaching philosophy is based upon our belief that every child is a unique individual and should be treated as such. The program is based upon the “Whole Child” concept, focusing on social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth. Along with our Administrator, at least half of our lead teachers hold a degree or certification in early childhood education or a related field. All teachers receive at least 30 continuing education hours every two years to ensure a fresh and creative learning environment for your child.

We Offer a Comprehensive Curriculum and Daily Activities

From birth to kindergarten, our teachers use the Creative Curriculum as a foundation for building their lesson plans, carefully aligning all activities to Ohio’s Early Childhood Standards. Our lesson planning process begins with getting to know the children. Teachers choose a subject that the children are interested in learning about. From both formal and informal observations, teachers are able to individualize and develop future activities based on the interests that the children reveal. Whether infant, toddler or preschool, our curriculum is built upon foundations of learning and each new activity scaffolds on the previous.

From kindergarten through 12 years, our teachers utilize the Cincinnati based program, “Cincy After-School” as the foundation of the schoolage curriculum, with an additional focus on team building, reducing risk-taking behaviors and supporting classroom learning. Through our “Appreciative Inquiry,” our teachers strive to foster a positive environment. Lesson plans are individualized to maintain an afterschool program that is both interesting and enriching for every schoolage child. Our non-school day program is an extended day of planned recreational and alternative activities.

screening and assessments

All children age birth through the start of kindergarten will receive formal screenings at least annually and formal assessments every 3 months in order to ensure that he or she is making progress toward the 38 objectives for kindergarten readiness. Lesson plans are the tailored to the child’s individual needs based upon the results of these screenings and assessments.

In order to provide the best care for your child that we can, we are constantly improving our facility and resources. For this reason, we have to put policies in place that ensure timely payment.

While there is NO registration fee, an activity fee is charged before entry into the schoolage summer program. These fees are applied towards field trips and determined on a yearly basis.
